Haroldo de Sena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Glauco Paranaense in the 6th minute. 8 minutes into the game, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Glauco Paranaense nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Haroldo de Sena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Zézinho Paraense's late challenge caught a CE LAJEADENSE RS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zézinho Paraense helped the player get up and apologised. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tostão Arruda in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lauro Linhares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Lauro Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vavá Recko in the 20th minute of play. After 23 minutes of play, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Glauco Paranaense made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Haroldo de Sena was left in no man's land by his defense there! Haroldo de Sena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Glauco Paranaense, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Glauco Paranaense was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eliézer Ramos in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Haroldo de Sena saved Reko-Recko 03™ from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcos Faria during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luís de Lara struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Haroldo de Sena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CE LAJEADENSE RS. The supporters of CE LAJEADENSE RS booed when Reko-Recko 03™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliézer Cerezo didn't get a good kick on the ball.
