Evaristo Arósio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Jefferson do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dráusio Saraiva's late challenge caught a MARINUS MZC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dráusio Saraiva helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th match minute, Karaboudjan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dráusio Saraiva to maneuver through the defense. Perivaldo Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raí Rodrigues in the 10th minute of the match. After having played for 12 minutes, Raí Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karaboudjan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raí Rodrigues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Elano Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 15 minutes into the match, Dráusio Saraiva notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of MARINUS MZC's Perivaldo Moreira. Perivaldo Moreira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 18 minutes into the match, MARINUS MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Dráusio Saraiva came free, but Perivaldo Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 19 minutes, Vicente Prata mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MARINUS MZC and the Karaboudjan players grew even worse after the yellow card. Evaristo Arósio hit a great ball. Perivaldo Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugênio Tasso in the 27th minute of the match. Perivaldo Moreira came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Karaboudjan's Elano Travassos. But to his dismay, Elano Travassos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Délio Souza charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Délio Souza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to MARINUS MZC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Délio Souza hit a great ball. Perivaldo Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raí Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Karaboudjan's Eugênio Tasso in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MARINUS MZC's goalie prevented a goal. Dráusio Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Dráusio Saraiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valdo Guimarães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson do Vale having to interfere. After the first half Karaboudjan were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eugênio Tasso was the one to do the kick off. MARINUS MZC's Perivaldo Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raí Rodrigues in the 52nd minute of play. Evaristo Arósio kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Karaboudjan's Dráusio Saraiva got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 64th play minutes Valdo Guimarães shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Jefferson do Vale and just under the crossbar into goal. Perivaldo Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elano Travassos in the 68th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, MARINUS MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Elano Travassos came free, but Perivaldo Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to MARINUS MZC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Vicente Prata hit a great ball. After 78 played minutes, MARINUS MZC's Evaristo Arósio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jefferson do Vale came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in MARINUS MZC reached it. A collision led to Karaboudjan getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Eugênio Tasso hit a great ball. Perivaldo Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elano Travassos in the 88th minute of the match. After 89 played minutes MARINUS MZC got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Munhoz. Perivaldo Moreira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eugênio Tasso in the 90th minute. The MARINUS MZC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Karaboudjan were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
