The audience thought a goal was coming when Lino Rios got free with Óscar Cordoba in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 67th play minutes Lino Rios shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Óscar Cordoba and just under the crossbar into goal. Óscar Cordoba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Rios in the 72nd minute of play. When AFC FUSION's Lino Rios, in the 73rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for AFC FUSION. Wayne Rooney replaced Matias Bilintx. Kauan de Barros hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Christoff Stocks's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Óscar Cordoba firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 88th match minute, Sporting de Gijón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elpidio Bixintxo to maneuver through the defense. Christoff Stocks's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Óscar Cordoba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. In the 95th minute, AFC FUSION's Christoff Stocks ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Óscar Cordoba. Óscar Cordoba yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7.
