When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 1-1 when 秦西星 sped through Tello AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dalmacio Pello. Faouzi Ghoulam hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Dalmacio Pello came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Las Palmas's Peker Kazak. But to his dismay, Peker Kazak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 24 minutes into the match, Tello AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulin Pego came free, but Dalmacio Pello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dalmacio Pello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulin Pego, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Las Palmas fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Las Palmas's Paulin Pego looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The long shot by Pastor Nofre in the 32nd minute really tested René Stam's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Dalmacio Pello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulin Pego in the 38th minute of play. In the 40thth minute of the game Cayetano Esdras who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tello AFC's Dalmacio Pello was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. René Stam made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pastor Nofre in the 43rd minute. 43 minutes into the match, Las Palmas's goalkeeper René Stam had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pastor Nofre. Las Palmas's René Stam proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Las Palmas from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Faustino Unax in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg René Stam saved Las Palmas from getting behind. After the first half Las Palmas were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Las Palmas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 柳平鹏 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. In the 72ndth minute of the game Uriel Cordearo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Las Palmas's René Stam was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
