After 6 minutes, Michal Wierzchowski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KS Olimpia Warszawa and the Zawisza Bydgoszcz players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Zawisza Bydgoszcz booed when KS Olimpia Warszawa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. KS Olimpia Warszawa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zawisza Bydgoszcz the free kick. Ali Wieczorek hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Tytus Frenzel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iwo Lewicki in the 20th minute of play. In the 31st match minute, KS Olimpia Warszawa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kryspin Drzewucki to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute Ali Wieczorek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Krzysztof Nowakowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Kryspin Drzewucki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tytus Frenzel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iwo Lewicki in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 44th minute Mateusz Trzenzalski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tytus Frenzel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mateusz Trzenzalski got free in front of the goal in the 45th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Tytus Frenzel was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 47 minutes into the game, Iwo Lewicki cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Tytus Frenzel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Tytus Frenzel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateusz Trzenzalski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to KS Olimpia Warszawa getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Slawomir Jajko hit a great ball. Tytus Frenzel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateusz Trzenzalski in the 61st minute of play. Tytus Frenzel was out of position in the 67 minute of play, and Mateusz Trzenzalski capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mateusz Trzenzalski really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Tytus Frenzel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateusz Trzenzalski in the 71st minute of play. Mateusz Trzenzalski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tytus Frenzel came out and tried to block the shot, but Mateusz Trzenzalski slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 72nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdul Majid Kutaisov in the 77th minute of play forced KS Olimpia Warszawa's goalkeeper Tytus Frenzel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute, Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Mateusz Trzenzalski dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. 89 minutes into the match, KS Olimpia Warszawa's goal looked a bit too open when Mateusz Trzenzalski came free, but Tytus Frenzel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bogdan Kolba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Tytus Frenzel made a huge save. The KS Olimpia Warszawa fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Zawisza Bydgoszcz were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
