The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Charles Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeusz Radzyminski in the 4th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Rafinha Sergipano in the 6th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by SS SuperSonics's Radowit Jazowski. João Vítor Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugon Lenertej having to interfere. Charles Sarmento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ganga Banga in the 10th minute of the match. The throw-in from Eliézer Leão in the 12th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by SS SuperSonics's Iwan Pilitowski. If Falcão Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Charles Sarmento got control of the ball when Ganga Banga tried to sneak it across the goal line. SS SuperSonics's Hugon Lenertej played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gil dos Santos in the 18th minute of play. After 20 played minutes SS SuperSonics got a freekick which was hit by Zdzislaw Dembowski. When Adalberto Vianna came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Rondinone F.C - FDFDF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adalberto Vianna couldn't finish the play. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Charles Sarmento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Rondinone F.C - FDFDF from getting a goal against them. In the 25th minute Ganga Banga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, SS SuperSonics's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Coutinho came free, but Hugon Lenertej reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SS SuperSonics's Ganga Banga got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hugon Lenertej showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gil dos Santos in the 40th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adriano Secco during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of SS SuperSonics booed when Rondinone F.C - FDFDF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adriano Secco didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes in the game Eliézer Leão did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Tiaguinho Faria. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ganga Banga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Falcão Marques in the 56th minute of play forced SS SuperSonics's goalkeeper Hugon Lenertej to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute of the match, Adalberto Vianna got a very nice opportunity to score, but Hugon Lenertej was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 60th match minute, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliézer Leão to maneuver through the defense. Rafinha Sergipano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hugon Lenertej. SS SuperSonics's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 87th match minute, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermínio Maciel to maneuver through the defense. 89 minutes into the match, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's goal looked a bit too open when Gucci Gangstad came free, but Charles Sarmento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
