Krzysztof Nowakowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiktor Cielencki, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Krzysztof Nowakowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wiktor Cielencki in the 37th minute of the match. Wiktor Cielencki scored 0-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Krzysztof Nowakowski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Wiktor Cielencki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bogdan Kolba made a kick off. But to his dismay, Wiktor Cielencki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Iwo Lewicki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's supporters rose to their feet, but Iwo Lewicki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hieronim Cholewa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Wiktor Cielencki put it in 1-6 from a short distance just to the right of Krzysztof Nowakowski. Wiktor Cielencki's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Krzysztof Nowakowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Wiktor Cielencki succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-7 in the 91st playminute. In the 96th match minute, Zawisza Bydgoszcz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karol Serwacki to maneuver through the defense.
