Damyan Planinski was slow to take the kick. During this time Paso FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Leon Platense's goalie and right to Ramon Burni. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Leon Platense's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Dario Hussain could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Mira Pene made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oktay Eğriöz in the 12th minute of play forced Leon Platense's goalkeeper Ruperto Rainerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute, Hernán Leandro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mira Pene. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 30th minute Hernán Leandro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mira Pene saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute Ramon Burni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruperto Rainerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oktay Eğriöz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute, Gonzalo Adrio made a precise shot to the right of Mira Pene. Paso FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Dario Hussain made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hernán Leandro in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mira Pene saved Paso FC from getting behind. The supporters of Leon Platense booed when Paso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabio Fornos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabio Fornos charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabio Fornos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mira Pene showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario Hussain, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Mira Pene took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernán Leandro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the match, Paso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Adrio came free, but Mira Pene reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Leon Platense's zone, Oktay Eğriöz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruperto Rainerio came out of the goal and Oktay Eğriöz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leon Platense's Klaas Alberts was substituted for Alfonso Kemen. The supporters of Leon Platense booed when Paso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabio Fornos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute, Denis Rivas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ruperto Rainerio. The goal made the score 2-1. João Francisco Vidal's late challenge caught a Paso FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Francisco Vidal helped the player get up and apologised. Damyan Planinski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Leon Platense defense, Denis Rivas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruperto Rainerio. The Leon Platense fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruperto Rainerio should have stopped the shot. Mira Pene showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernán Leandro in the 95th minute of the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
