Isaias Jakue's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edmond Verdun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maureen Franco in the 5th minute of play forced Errecaborda AFC's goalkeeper Edmond Verdun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Errecaborda AFC booed when Sporting Buceo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sartori didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maximo Horquizar made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Isidro Gines sent off a good shot on target. Maximo Horquizar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pastor Ado in the 11th minute. In the 11th minute, Mauro Rameriz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute, Isidro Gines ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maximo Horquizar was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. A collision led to Sporting Buceo getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Maureen Franco hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isaias Jakue in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmond Verdun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sporting Buceo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rainier Gregoire in the 24th minute. The corner led Sporting Buceo's Rainier Gregoire to fire away a dangerous shot which Edmond Verdun despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Edmond Verdun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maureen Franco in the 27th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maureen Franco in the 29th minute of play forced Errecaborda AFC's goalkeeper Edmond Verdun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maureen Franco took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edmond Verdun. Edmond Verdun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Sporting Buceo's Maximo Horquizar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidro Gines in the 39th minute of play. Segundo Aureo kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidro Gines in the 41st minute of play forced Sporting Buceo's goalkeeper Maximo Horquizar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Victorino Sandalio was the one to do the kick off. Maximo Horquizar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidro Gines in the 53rd minute of the match. If Segundo Aureo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Isaias Jakue managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Buceo's supporters rose to their feet, but Isaias Jakue was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmond Verdun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edmond Verdun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isaias Jakue went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Sporting Buceo's Maximo Horquizar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorino Sandalio in the 68th minute of play. Sporting Buceo made a substitution. Yao Yan Sen replaced Rainier Gregoire. Sporting Buceo's Xinto Carreiras was substituted for Isaias Jakue. With a little luck, Errecaborda AFC's Edmond Verdun got control of the ball when Xinto Carreiras tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maximo Horquizar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorino Sandalio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maximo Horquizar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prospero Jerardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Edmond Verdun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charly Good in the 83rd minute of play. Errecaborda AFC's Hipolito Neron was substituted for Miguel Savion. Edmond Verdun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maureen Franco in the 88th minute of the match. Edmond Verdun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maureen Franco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xinto Carreiras could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Edmond Verdun made a huge save. Errecaborda AFC made a substitution. Rogelio Jakes replaced Aírton Urbano. After 97 minutes Errecaborda AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Yao Yan Sen who took care of the corner kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sporting Buceo walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
