In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Leon Platense's goalkeeper Ruperto Rainerio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Armindo Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaafar Carrillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the match, VB-Team's goal looked a bit too open when Constantino Anaya came free, but Armindo Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Constantino Anaya in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armindo Salgado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joaquim de Barros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Ruperto Rainerio made a huge save. 47 minutes into the match, Gervásio Severiano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ruperto Rainerio, 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 51st minute, Qiu Sheng Bang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Joaquim de Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. VB-Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquim de Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruperto Rainerio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 95 played minutes, VB-Team's Traian Hăvârneanu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ruperto Rainerio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in VB-Team reached it. After 97 minutes of play, VB-Team's Traian Hăvârneanu made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ruperto Rainerio was left in no man's land by his defense there! For all the effort they put into the match, the Leon Platense players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for VB-Team.
