When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Stamen Tekeliev put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ruperto Rainerio. After having played for 21 minutes, Stamen Tekeliev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Playa Malvín's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stamen Tekeliev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stelian Murgu in the 57th minute of play forced Leon Platense's goalkeeper Ruperto Rainerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruperto Rainerio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stamen Tekeliev went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Leon Platense's Klaas Alberts was substituted for Celso Havier. In the 67th minute Quinto Ampudia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruperto Rainerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Leon Platense defense, Quinto Ampudia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruperto Rainerio. The Leon Platense fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruperto Rainerio should have stopped the shot. Playa Malvín's Quinto Ampudia got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Quinto Ampudia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ruperto Rainerio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quinto Ampudia in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 94th minute Quinto Ampudia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruperto Rainerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Playa Malvín fans cheered their team off the field, for while Leon Platense had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
