Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michael Benítez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Honduras's Lautaro Navarro got control of the ball when Cristobal Rapado tried to sneak it across the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Isauro Rey had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Edmundo Espiga made the kick off in the second half. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isauro Rey, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. C.F.P. ORIHUELA DEPORTIVA's Michael Benítez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 57th minute of play.
