An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Tedeschi in the 5th minute of play forced Szczakowianka's goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Szczakowianka's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Tedeschi came free, but Thibaut Courtois reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thibaut Courtois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ennio Daniele in the 15th minute of play. Luis Elequemedo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Donato Balestra when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Donato Balestra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedykt Perkowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Szczakowianka's zone, Federico Tedeschi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thibaut Courtois came out of the goal and Federico Tedeschi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thibaut Courtois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federico Tedeschi, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Donato Balestra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luis Elequemedo in the 27th minute. Donato Balestra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radowit Ogrodowicz in the 28th minute of the match. In the 30th match minute, Calenzano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Martelli to maneuver through the defense. Thibaut Courtois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfred Olsson in the 32nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luis Elequemedo got free with Donato Balestra in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 41 minutes into the match, Szczakowianka's Benedykt Perkowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Donato Balestra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Donato Balestra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Elequemedo in the 42nd minute of play. Robbin Moreaux sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 44 minutes into the match, Benedykt Perkowski notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Calenzano's Donato Balestra. Donato Balestra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 48th minute, Benedykt Perkowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfred Olsson to strike the kick off in the second half. Luis Elequemedo kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the game, Arturo Di Matteo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Thibaut Courtois. Arturo Di Matteo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. The supporters of Calenzano booed when Szczakowianka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petter Haukenes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Calenzano's Antonello Di Toma couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 91st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Szczakowianka. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
