Montechiarugolo AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zelg FC the free kick. Zelg FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fedele Testi ran over to the corner to take the kick. Fedele Testi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sepp Mainville stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carmine Belardi's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. In the 44th minute, Stephan Eichenberger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sepp Mainville didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfredo Zuccarini went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonas Herz to make the kick off. Pär Are came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Zelg FC's Jonas Herz. But to his dismay, Jonas Herz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Cacá 赵云乐 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sepp Mainville having to interfere. If Anfilogino Preda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zelg FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
