The Zelg FC fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when Zelg FC's Jonas Herz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 10 minutes into the match, Calenzano's Alfred Olsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sepp Mainville narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Zelg FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antonello Di Toma was slow to take the kick. During this time Calenzano's players had a chance to rest. Alessio Santini was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 15th minute, Jonas Herz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zelg FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Donato Balestra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Herz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sepp Mainville made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfred Olsson in the 21st minute of play. In the 36th minute, Alessio Santini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute, Alfred Olsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Donato Balestra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Herz in the 40th minute of play. Gilles Clerc came free with the goalkeeper in the 41st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Donato Balestra could save by the left post. Stefano Hubli hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfred Olsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Federico Tedeschi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sepp Mainville. The goal made the score 2-1. Donato Balestra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Irwin Monney, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Federico Tedeschi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Sepp Mainville made a huge save. Zelg FC's Sepp Mainville played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Federico Tedeschi in the 69th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonas Herz in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donato Balestra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 82nd play minute Federico Tedeschi came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Sepp Mainville. 2-2. In the 88th minute, Jonas Herz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonas Herz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Jonas Herz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Calenzano played a much better game than Zelg FC and deserved their victory. The Zelg FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
