Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Benedykt Perkowski started the match with the kick off. Tivadar Demeter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thibaut Courtois read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Yan Chen Yan notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Szombathely Squirrels's Arnold Szuper. Arnold Szuper was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benedykt Perkowski got free with Arnold Szuper in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Szczakowianka's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Yan Chen Yan in the 20th minute. After taking down the ball on Szczakowianka's corner Yan Chen Yan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Arnold Szuper quite easily take care of the ball. Szombathely Squirrels's Arnold Szuper proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Szombathely Squirrels from getting a goal against them. Szczakowianka's Benedykt Perkowski came free and shot a quick shot against goal 24 minutes in the game, fortunately Arnold Szuper had problems saving as it came toward the left post. 25 minutes into the game, Szczakowianka's Yan Chen Yan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnold Szuper made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Tivadar Demeter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Thibaut Courtois tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute of the match Szczakowianka got a corner. Szombathely Squirrels's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Yan Chen Yan ran over to the corner to take the kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

If Tivadar Demeter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Szombathely Squirrels made a substitution. Lei Jian Xiong replaced Tivadar Demeter. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benedykt Perkowski in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnold Szuper prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 66th minute Radowit Ogrodowicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnold Szuper saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lei Jian Xiong scored 3-1 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thibaut Courtois, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 72nd minute of the game Zeledon Lain made a throw-in which Radowit Ogrodowicz played forward. The audience thought a goal was coming when József Varga got free with Thibaut Courtois in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arnold Szuper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yan Chen Yan, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Thibaut Courtois took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lei Jian Xiong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Szombathely Squirrels's Arnold Szuper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yan Chen Yan in the 80th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Szombathely Squirrels's Lei Jian Xiong sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thibaut Courtois narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 90th match minute, Szombathely Squirrels was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lukas Arlikevičius to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Szombathely Squirrels's zone, Yan Chen Yan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnold Szuper came out of the goal and Yan Chen Yan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leszek Pawlik hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The long shot by Michel Goiano in the 96th minute really tested Thibaut Courtois's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Szombathely Squirrels's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
