The audience thought a goal was coming when Baldomiro Nardo got free with Arnold Szuper in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Baldomiro Nardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the match, Dexter Morgan VR46's goal looked a bit too open when Tivadar Demeter came free, but Comunardo Guerrini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Anfilogino Palma was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dexter Morgan VR46's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Szombathely Squirrels the free kick. After 48 played minutes Dexter Morgan VR46 got a freekick which was hit by Anfilogino Palma.

The wind increased when Tivadar Demeter made the kick off in the second half. Arnold Szuper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomiro Nardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tivadar Demeter blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Comunardo Guerrini having to make a save. If Tivadar Demeter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 63rd minute of the match, Tivadar Demeter got a very nice opportunity to score, but Comunardo Guerrini was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Szombathely Squirrels's Lei Jian Xiong was substituted for Tivadar Demeter. After a rather tough play, Dexter Morgan VR46's Baldomiro Nardo got a free kick in the 66th minute. If Lei Jian Xiong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th match minute, Dexter Morgan VR46 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atalay Turkay to maneuver through the defense. József Varga kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 75th minute, one of Dexter Morgan VR46:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Dexter Morgan VR46. Tamás Szentesi shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Lei Jian Xiong's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Comunardo Guerrini read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Lei Jian Xiong left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Szombathely Squirrels fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Arnold Szuper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Ciolli, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After taking down the ball on Szombathely Squirrels's corner Luciano Aued fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Comunardo Guerrini quite easily take care of the ball. Arnold Szuper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bob Marley in the 94th minute of the match. Comunardo Guerrini stood somewhat misplaced when Lei Jian Xiong came free in front of goal and shot 0-4 to the left of him in the 95 minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Szombathely Squirrels walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
