The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, one of Zapniów:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Boguslaw Jaraczewski went to the wrong direction when José Maria Neiva was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 9 minutes into the match, Phantasy World's José Maria Neiva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Boguslaw Jaraczewski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 11th minute Silvano Cibran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoni Olejarz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mithat Adıvar came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Zapniów fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mithat Adıvar couldn't finish the play. Dariusz Zagrobelny hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Boguslaw Jaraczewski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Maria Neiva went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Antoni Olejarz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvano Cibran in the 26th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Stefan Gerlach dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Antoni Olejarz, 1-1. After 32 played minutes Zapniów got a freekick which was hit by Marian Rydz. Boguslaw Jaraczewski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Maria Neiva's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. José Maria Neiva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Boguslaw Jaraczewski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. After having played for 42 minutes, José Maria Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Phantasy World's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Maria Neiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Boguslaw Jaraczewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Maria Neiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Maria Neiva was the one to do the kick off. Antoni Olejarz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvano Cibran in the 52nd minute of play. Boguslaw Jaraczewski was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Gwidon Brysz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gwidon Brysz really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. A throw-in in the 60th minute of the game was made by Marian Rydz with Ignacy Zakrzewski as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Antoni Olejarz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silvano Cibran's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Boguslaw Jaraczewski made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Maria Neiva in the 70th minute. An unexpected shot in the 72nd minute by José Maria Neiva got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, Zapniów's Boguslaw Jaraczewski got control of the ball when José Maria Neiva tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Silvano Cibran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antoni Olejarz was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Hieronim Jekot managed to get in a good position for a shot. Phantasy World's supporters rose to their feet, but Hieronim Jekot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Boguslaw Jaraczewski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Phantasy World made a substitution. Zdzislaw Kręcina replaced Bálint Kormos.
