The supporters of Gaffney FC booed when Los Matadores was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robustiano Nafarroa didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Los Matadores's Eloy Bittor got control of the ball when Reuben McCollum tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 20 minutes of play, Los Matadores's Robustiano Nafarroa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tyrell Lugo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tyrell Lugo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Derwin in the 25th minute of the match. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gaffney FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Primitivo Evis was slow to take the kick. During this time Los Matadores's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Los Matadores's Primitivo Evis to fire away a dangerous shot which Tyrell Lugo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 30th minute, Alfredo Derwin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 32 minutes into the match, Gaffney FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Derwin came free, but Tyrell Lugo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Gaffney FC's goal looked a bit too open when Primitivo Evis came free, but Tyrell Lugo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th match minute, Gaffney FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Scottie Frey to maneuver through the defense. Grady Ritter hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Los Matadores's Primitivo Evis got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reuben McCollum made a kick off. Moises Lorencios short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Tyrell Lugo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Giuseppe Duran fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gaffney FC's protests and gave Giuseppe Duran a yellow card for diving instead. In the 53rd minute, Giuseppe Duran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Moises Lorencio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Robustiano Nafarroa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tyrell Lugo was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Tyrell Lugo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Derwin, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Joaquin West hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Eloy Bittor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reuben McCollum in the 67th minute of the match. Ricardo Gilliam's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eloy Bittor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play.
