The referee ignored Pyrgetos FC's protests and gave Alketas Papantoniou a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Pyrgetos FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Alketas Papantoniou hit a great ball. Iordanis Batsidis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aurelio Rubio went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Jeremias Cugat's late challenge caught a Pyrgetos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeremias Cugat helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Amelie FC's Jeremias Cugat got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Iordanis Batsidis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aurelio Rubio in the 75th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Giotis Tsalikis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pyrgetos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Giotis Tsalikis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolfo Fernado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 90th minute Aurelio Rubio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iordanis Batsidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Amelie FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
