The referee ignored Academia B.F.'s protests and gave Wiliam Carioca a yellow card for diving instead. As Melfi 1929's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Primo Sans 16 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Wiliam Carioca was shown his second yellow card after 19 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 19th minute, Wiliam Carioca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th match minute, Academia B.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremias Porfirio to maneuver through the defense. Johan Vollander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dino Iovine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Primo Sans got free with Cristoforo Basso in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Academia B.F.'s Zachary Mentus in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Academia B.F. booed when As Melfi 1929 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Rinaldi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeremias Porfirio kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. 67 minutes into the game, Academia B.F.'s Primo Sans nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristoforo Basso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Cristoforo Basso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Totti, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Cristoforo Basso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michel Totti in the 80th minute of the match. 80 minutes in the game, Michel Totti dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. During the 81st minute of the match Bernardo Rinaldi completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Bernardo Rinaldi a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After some careless play in the As Melfi 1929 defense, Zachary Mentus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristoforo Basso. The As Melfi 1929 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristoforo Basso should have stopped the shot. Michel Totti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cristoforo Basso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michel Totti in the 89th minute of play. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 9-0 when Michel Totti sped through As Melfi 1929's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cristoforo Basso. Dino Iovine charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dino Iovine the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cristoforo Basso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michel Totti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Academia B.F. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
