When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Primo Sans put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Miltos Kyriazis. If Prodromos Banasopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lauro Quirino during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lauro Quirino hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Miltos Kyriazis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Primo Sans, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute.
