Cristoforo Basso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charis Chaniotakis in the 10th minute of the match. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 79 minutes into the match, As Melfi 1929's goal looked a bit too open when Diogenis Kostiadis came free, but Cristoforo Basso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to As Melfi 1929 getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Bianco Di Nunzio hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Diogenis Kostiadis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pyrgetos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Diogenis Kostiadis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristoforo Basso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 92nd minute, Daniele Belfiore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee ended the match the As Melfi 1929 players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
