Primo Sans blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorge Caetano having to make a save. Jorge Caetano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Primo Sans, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Vicente Catarinense was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Bob Westelinx capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bob Westelinx really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After a rather tough play, Zero Gravity's Matías Roganov got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute Primo Sans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Caetano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Caetano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Primo Sans went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Zero Gravity booed when Academia B.F. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wiliam Carioca didn't get a good kick on the ball. With 23 minutes on the clock, Januário Quinaz commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 37 minutes into the game, Walmir Campidelis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Academia B.F.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zero Gravity the free kick. After a rather tough play, Academia B.F.'s Walmir Campidelis got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 38th minute, Cemil Acarbay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zero Gravity's Wawrzyniec Iwanowski got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Primo Sans made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Mikolaj Ratulowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Caetano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiliam Carioca in the 55th minute of play. After 57 played minutes Zero Gravity got a freekick which was hit by Wawrzyniec Iwanowski. Jorge Caetano made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Primo Sans sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Primo Sans in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Caetano saved Zero Gravity from getting behind. 67 minutes into the match, Zero Gravity's goalkeeper Jorge Caetano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Primo Sans. Academia B.F. made a substitution. João Francisco Fontes replaced Wiliam Carioca. Michel Totti struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Jorge Caetano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Academia B.F.. With a little luck, Zero Gravity's Jorge Caetano got control of the ball when Michel Totti tried to sneak it across the goal line. Michel Totti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Jorge Caetano made a huge save. Zero Gravity's Jorge Caetano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Zero Gravity from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Academia B.F. getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. João Francisco Fontes hit a great ball. When Michel Totti came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Academia B.F. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michel Totti couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wawrzyniec Iwanowski in the 96th minute of play forced Academia B.F.'s goalkeeper Vicente Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Academia B.F. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Academia B.F. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
