Wit Chwalkiewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petros Karterouliotis in the 3rd minute of the match. Michael Hedström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walmyr Zanette, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amelinium Gdynia's Wit Chwalkiewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petros Karterouliotis in the 7th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Amelinium Gdynia's goalkeeper Wit Chwalkiewicz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Petros Karterouliotis. Boguslaw Burdalski kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. A collision led to AEK S.C getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Pantelis Chatzivelos hit a great ball. After 13 played minutes Amelinium Gdynia got a freekick which was hit by Walmyr Zanette. Norman Haiba struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Wit Chwalkiewicz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AEK S.C. Petros Karterouliotis scored 1-0 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wit Chwalkiewicz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Herbert Niedbalski fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Amelinium Gdynia's protests and gave Herbert Niedbalski a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Marcin Baszczyński managed to get in a good position for a shot. AEK S.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcin Baszczyński was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wit Chwalkiewicz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vicente Buinton got free with Wit Chwalkiewicz in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th match minute, AEK S.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Buinton to maneuver through the defense. Walmyr Zanette charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Walmyr Zanette the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vicente Buinton got free with Wit Chwalkiewicz in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 38th minute, Giannis Kousas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wit Chwalkiewicz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boguslaw Burdalski in the 41st minute of play forced AEK S.C's goalkeeper Michael Hedström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AEK S.C's Giannis Kousas suffered a sore foot after 46 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by İlyas Sarıdoğan during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stefan Tomaka was the one to do the kick off. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Amelinium Gdynia! Marcin Baszczyński placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! AEK S.C's Michael Hedström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save AEK S.C from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Amelinium Gdynia's Ulryk Nowakowski got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute of the match Marcin Baszczyński sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wit Chwalkiewicz skillfully saved the ball. Norman Haiba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute, Vicente Buinton left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AEK S.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind AEK S.C's goalkeeper Michael Hedström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, AEK S.C's Giotis Papagiannis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wit Chwalkiewicz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When AEK S.C's Petros Karterouliotis in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some careless play in the Amelinium Gdynia defense, Vicente Buinton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wit Chwalkiewicz. The Amelinium Gdynia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wit Chwalkiewicz should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petros Karterouliotis in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wit Chwalkiewicz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. AEK S.C's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
