In the 6th minute, Ekedalen SK's Anders Christiansen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ergo Muro. Ergo Muro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Niceto Ihazintu took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo Renato Dionísio. Paulo Renato Dionísio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. A sloppy throw-in by Egil Åhman in the 12th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Caatiba MZC's Fahl Figueroa. Ergo Muro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anders Christiansen in the 13th minute of play. Ergo Muro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mugur Bejenaru in the 14th minute of the match. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by Caatiba MZC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Anders Christiansen was slow to take the kick. During this time Ekedalen SK's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Anders Christiansen got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ergo Muro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Caatiba MZC's Ergo Muro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mugur Bejenaru in the 19th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Niceto Ihazintu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Niceto Ihazintu might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulo Renato Dionísio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Niceto Ihazintu ran back to his position shaking his head. Paulo Renato Dionísio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niceto Ihazintu in the 26th minute of the match. After 33 minutes of play, Caatiba MZC's Niceto Ihazintu made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulo Renato Dionísio was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 37th minute, Niceto Ihazintu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caatiba MZC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. 40 minutes into the match, Caatiba MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Mugur Bejenaru came free, but Ergo Muro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ekedalen SK's Paulo Renato Dionísio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niceto Ihazintu in the 45th minute of play. After some careless play in the Ekedalen SK defense, Jorge Henrique kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Renato Dionísio. The Ekedalen SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Renato Dionísio should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Niceto Ihazintu made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Niceto Ihazintu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Paulo Renato Dionísio. The goal made the score 1-6. In the 58th minute, Mugur Bejenaru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ergo Muro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-6. Ergo Muro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egil Åhman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ekedalen SK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Niceto Ihazintu scored to the left of an out of position Paulo Renato Dionísio, making the score, 2-7. In the 70th minute Anders Christiansen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ergo Muro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niceto Ihazintu might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulo Renato Dionísio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Niceto Ihazintu ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Niceto Ihazintu got free with Paulo Renato Dionísio in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ekedalen SK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 75th minute, when Niceto Ihazintu scored to the left of an out of position Paulo Renato Dionísio, making the score, 2-8. Caatiba MZC's Valdomiro Ortiz quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Kåre Albom, made in the 78th minute of the game. 81 minutes into the match, Caatiba MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Anders Christiansen came free, but Ergo Muro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ergo Muro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anders Christiansen in the 85th minute of play. Niceto Ihazintu might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulo Renato Dionísio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Niceto Ihazintu ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niceto Ihazintu in the 97th minute of play forced Ekedalen SK's goalkeeper Paulo Renato Dionísio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
