Paulo Renato Dionísio came out of the goal and Niceto Ihazintu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ergo Muro didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Ekedalen SK's Tomas Nyström shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 10th minute, Tomas Nyström made a precise shot to the right of Ergo Muro. Caatiba MZC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Niceto Ihazintu in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Renato Dionísio saved Ekedalen SK from getting behind. In the 17th minute, Anders Christiansen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ergo Muro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After some careless play in the Caatiba MZC defense, Mugur Bejenaru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ergo Muro. The Caatiba MZC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ergo Muro should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anders Christiansen in the 23rd minute of play forced Caatiba MZC's goalkeeper Ergo Muro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fahl Figueroa kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Valdomiro Ortiz's late challenge caught a Ekedalen SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valdomiro Ortiz helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Caatiba MZC's Valdomiro Ortiz got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 36th minute Anders Christiansen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ergo Muro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niceto Ihazintu struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Paulo Renato Dionísio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caatiba MZC. Ergo Muro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anders Christiansen, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Niceto Ihazintu made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Anders Christiansen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ergo Muro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ergo Muro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claes Alström in the 55th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Caatiba MZC's Fahl Figueroa got a free kick in the 58th minute. 61 minutes into the game, Ekedalen SK's Anders Christiansen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ergo Muro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. 68 minutes into the game, Niceto Ihazintu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caatiba MZC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ekedalen SK the free kick. A collision led to Caatiba MZC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Niceto Ihazintu hit a great ball. After taking down the ball on Caatiba MZC's corner Jorge Henrique fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Paulo Renato Dionísio quite easily take care of the ball. With his leg Ergo Muro managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Ekedalen SK's Egil Åhman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 81st minute, Niceto Ihazintu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Mugur Bejenaru took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Ergo Muro to make any attempt to save it. 88 minutes into the game, Niceto Ihazintu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Paulo Renato Dionísio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ekedalen SK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
