Highway to Hell's Habib Al Zamel was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ergo Muro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 6 minutes into the game, Habib Al Zamel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ergo Muro. Habib Al Zamel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 10th minute Fragiskos Koboropoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ergo Muro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niceto Ihazintu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Panos Papadimos having to interfere. Panos Papadimos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niceto Ihazintu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Fragiskos Koboropoulos took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Ergo Muro to make any attempt to save it. Habib Al Zamel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Ergo Muro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Henrique took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Panos Papadimos. Panos Papadimos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 23 minutes into the match, Habib Al Zamel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ergo Muro. Caatiba MZC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Habib Al Zamel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Ergo Muro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Loukas Kavalekas in the 28th minute. Highway to Hell's Panos Papadimos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niceto Ihazintu in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fragiskos Koboropoulos in the 31st minute of play forced Caatiba MZC's goalkeeper Ergo Muro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Niceto Ihazintu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Caatiba MZC's Jorge Henrique got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 39th match minute, Caatiba MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delfim Bertassi to maneuver through the defense. Caatiba MZC's Ergo Muro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Caatiba MZC from getting a goal against them. Panos Papadimos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niceto Ihazintu in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

After a rather tough play, Caatiba MZC's Hector Garofalis got a free kick in the 58th minute. Highway to Hell's Panos Papadimos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Highway to Hell from getting a goal against them. Caatiba MZC were furious when Hector Garofalis was red carded, 62 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 62 minutes into the game, one of Caatiba MZC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ergo Muro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Makis Kanatidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Fragiskos Koboropoulos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ergo Muro. Caatiba MZC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fragiskos Koboropoulos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Ergo Muro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Habib Al Zamel, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. The supporters of Highway to Hell booed when Caatiba MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Henrique didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Caatiba MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Loukas Kavalekas came free, but Ergo Muro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Highway to Hell's Sultan Shalan got a free kick in the 85th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Makis Kanatidis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ergo Muro. With a little luck, Highway to Hell's Panos Papadimos got control of the ball when Niceto Ihazintu tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Habib Al Zamel came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Highway to Hell fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Habib Al Zamel couldn't finish the play. Ergo Muro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loukas Kavalekas in the 98th minute of play. Caatiba MZC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
