Michael Hedström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mugur Bejenaru in the 11th minute of play. Michael Hedström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anders Christiansen in the 12th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Ekedalen SK's Tomas Nyström ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Michael Hedström. Michael Hedström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. A collision led to Ekedalen SK getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Anders Christiansen hit a great ball. Paulo Renato Dionísio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giannis Kousas's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Giannis Kousas in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Renato Dionísio saved Ekedalen SK from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Nyström in the 24th minute of play forced AEK S.C's goalkeeper Michael Hedström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mugur Bejenaru in the 27th minute of play forced AEK S.C's goalkeeper Michael Hedström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, AEK S.C's Dimitris Kourmouzis got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute of the match Anders Christiansen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Michael Hedström showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Michael Hedström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Egil Åhman in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute, Kåre Albom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Giannis Kousas struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Paulo Renato Dionísio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AEK S.C. AEK S.C's Michael Hedström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save AEK S.C from getting a goal against them. Paulo Renato Dionísio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petros Karterouliotis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AEK S.C were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Ekedalen SK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marcin Baszczyński took the corner. After taking down the ball on AEK S.C's corner Norman Haiba fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Paulo Renato Dionísio quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Nyström in the 45th minute of play forced AEK S.C's goalkeeper Michael Hedström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Giannis Kousas to make the kick off. When Tomas Nyström came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Ekedalen SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Nyström couldn't finish the play. Michael Hedström came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Ekedalen SK's Mugur Bejenaru. But to his dismay, Mugur Bejenaru quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Michael Hedström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Nyström in the 62nd minute of the match. When Vicente Buinton came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the AEK S.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Buinton couldn't finish the play. Michael Hedström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Nyström in the 65th minute of play. AEK S.C's Michael Hedström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Nyström in the 71st minute of play. Michael Hedström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mugur Bejenaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Anders Christiansen charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anders Christiansen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of AEK S.C booed when Ekedalen SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anders Christiansen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 80 minutes into the match, AEK S.C's goal looked a bit too open when Mugur Bejenaru came free, but Michael Hedström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. AEK S.C's Michael Hedström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mugur Bejenaru in the 80th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Anders Christiansen notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of AEK S.C's Michael Hedström. Michael Hedström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 91 minutes into the game, Ekedalen SK's Anders Christiansen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Michael Hedström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. With 96 minutes on the clock, Marcin Baszczyński commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 96th minute of the game. One of AEK S.C:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ekedalen SK:s goal. Michael Hedström had in the 98thth minute some difficulties stopping Anders Christiansen's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ekedalen SK fully deserved thier win.
