An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Kiempe in the 36th minute of play forced De Ontembare Leeuwen's goalkeeper Bram de Backer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Fomac FK booed when De Ontembare Leeuwen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mitchell Terpstra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bram de Backer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Kiempe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Fomac FK were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Tim Zondervan made the kick off in the second half. De Ontembare Leeuwen's Bram de Backer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carl Kjellqvist in the 53rd minute of play. After some careless play in the De Ontembare Leeuwen defense, Daniel Kiempe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bram de Backer. The De Ontembare Leeuwen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bram de Backer should have stopped the shot. In the 59th minute, De Ontembare Leeuwen's Rinus Ronde seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rinus Ronde the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of De Ontembare Leeuwen protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rinus Ronde had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 60 played minutes De Ontembare Leeuwen got a freekick which was hit by Rinus Ronde. Fomac FK's Erik Sjödin took a good shot, in the 61st minute, which hit the crossbar above Bram de Backer's head, and flew over the goal. De Ontembare Leeuwen's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Fomac FK. Carl Kjellqvist showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. After a rather tough play, Fomac FK's Nils-Åke Mattsson got a free kick in the 74th minute. De Ontembare Leeuwen's Bram de Backer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save De Ontembare Leeuwen from getting a goal against them.
