The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Daniel Kiempe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carl Kjellqvist in the 13th minute of play forced Gortaty's goalkeeper Karol Kopacz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Czeslaw Skrzypiec received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Sören Zachrisson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carl Kjellqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karol Kopacz having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of Fomac FK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gortaty:s goal. Sören Zachrisson had in the 21stth minute some difficulties stopping Benedykt Siembab's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Gortaty's Czeslaw Skrzypiec sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sören Zachrisson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Fomac FK's Claes Åkerström got a free kick in the 24th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sebastian Kasiewski during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 28 played minutes Gortaty got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Kasiewski. Karol Kopacz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carl Kjellqvist in the 30th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Remigiusz Kaczynski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gortaty's Czeslaw Skrzypiec got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Benedykt Siembab took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Sören Zachrisson to make any attempt to save it. In the 43rd minute, Carl Kjellqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Carl Kjellqvist made the kick off in the second half. If Carl Kjellqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 54 minutes into the game, Rutger Godholm was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fomac FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gortaty the free kick. After 54 played minutes Fomac FK got a freekick which was hit by Rutger Godholm. Sören Zachrisson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedykt Siembab in the 58th minute of the match. If Czeslaw Skrzypiec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Konstanty Chlapowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karol Kopacz made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Bengt-Åke Alebeck sent off a good shot on target. Remigiusz Kaczynski charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Remigiusz Kaczynski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 89th minute, Remigiusz Kaczynski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gortaty's Konstanty Chlapowski got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Czeslaw Skrzypiec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
