After having played for 3 minutes, Milosz Rzeszutek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gortaty's supporters crossed their fingers, but Milosz Rzeszutek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 5th minute Danny Gilespie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karol Kopacz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Gortaty getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Radowit Siedlecki hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the game, Radowit Siedlecki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gortaty's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rangers FC the free kick. The goalkeeper, Karol Kopacz, was totally fooled by Rangers FC's Danny Gilespie, who 15 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Milosz Rzeszutek charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Milosz Rzeszutek the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 18 played minutes, Rangers FC's Danny Gilespie shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Karol Kopacz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rangers FC reached it. Czeslaw Skrzypiec hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Gortaty's goalkeeper Karol Kopacz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Danny Gilespie. Logan McCubbin charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Logan McCubbin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Gortaty booed when Rangers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Logan McCubbin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the game, Danny Gilespie recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Karol Kopacz. Danny Gilespie showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 47th minute Czeslaw Skrzypiec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fergus Fairbairn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benedykt Siembab made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Rangers FC's zone, Benedykt Siembab stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fergus Fairbairn came out of the goal and Benedykt Siembab tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benedykt Siembab could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Fergus Fairbairn made a huge save. With a little luck, Rangers FC's Fergus Fairbairn got control of the ball when Benedykt Siembab tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fergus Fairbairn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Czeslaw Skrzypiec in the 69th minute of the match. Stevie McGilvray hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 71 minutes into the match, Gortaty's Czeslaw Skrzypiec sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fergus Fairbairn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fergus Fairbairn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Czeslaw Skrzypiec in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 74th match minute, Gortaty was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remigiusz Kaczynski to maneuver through the defense. Karol Kopacz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danny Gilespie in the 75th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Czeslaw Skrzypiec notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Rangers FC's Fergus Fairbairn. Fergus Fairbairn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 88 played minutes Rangers FC got a freekick which was hit by Gary Gowan. When Milosz Rzeszutek was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 92 minutes had been played. Rangers FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Gortaty for a fine match.
