Paulo Godoi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gonçalo de Medeiros came out and tried to block the shot, but Paulo Godoi slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 26th minute. Espigão Steamrollers's Gonçalo de Medeiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Espigão Steamrollers from getting a goal against them. 34 minutes into the match, Palestra do Interior's Paulo Godoi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gonçalo de Medeiros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Godoi got free with Gonçalo de Medeiros in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gonçalo de Medeiros was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Paulo Godoi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 35 minute of play. Allan Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roneixon Siqueira in the 41st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Espigão Steamrollers's zone, Percival Cruz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gonçalo de Medeiros came out of the goal and Percival Cruz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Espigão Steamrollers made a substitution. Ulisses Carioca replaced Walmyr Meira. When Espigão Steamrollers's Roneixon Siqueira in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Yuri Paranaense replaced Roneixon Siqueira. In the 77th minute Vitório Lago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonçalo de Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Yuri Paranaense came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Espigão Steamrollers fans jumped to their feet. Yuri Paranaense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Allan Varela made a huge save. Vitório Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo de Medeiros having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, Palestra do Interior could leave the field as winners, despite Espigão Steamrollers having more of the ball for most of the match.
