In the 20th minute, Ulisses Aparecido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chico Donato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roneixon Siqueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes into the match, Roneixon Siqueira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chico Donato. In the 40th minute, Roneixon Siqueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Lopes in the 43rd minute of play forced Espigão Steamrollers's goalkeeper Gonçalo de Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Espigão Steamrollers eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
