An unexpectedly hard shot by Zygmunt Bielejewski in the 15th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Carlos Germano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Zygmunt Bielejewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Atlanta's zone, Artaç Hendekli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Germano came out of the goal and Artaç Hendekli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roman Matai made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Eustaquio Jaizki sent off a good shot on target. 37 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Artaç Hendekli came free, but Carlos Germano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to STAL ST WOLA getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Artaç Hendekli hit a great ball. Carlos Germano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zygmunt Bielejewski in the 42nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zygmunt Bielejewski in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Germano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zygmunt Bielejewski to strike the kick off in the second half. Carlos Germano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michel Batistuta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute STAL ST WOLA were awarded a corner. Michel Batistuta went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Baltazar de Amaral managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. If Zygmunt Bielejewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 70 minutes, Carlos Germano successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Carlos Germano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Batistuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Zygmunt Bielejewskis short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Carlos Germano to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. STAL ST WOLA's Roman Matai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustaquio Jaizki in the 83rd minute of play. Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artaç Hendekli in the 84th minute of play. Michel Batistuta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. STAL ST WOLA had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
