Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Eyague having to interfere. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tigre's goalkeeper Vicente Eyague, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Eyague having to interfere. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Vicente Eyague tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vicente Eyague showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 33rd minute of play forced Tigre's goalkeeper Vicente Eyague to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vicente Eyague came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Vicente Eyague made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 40th minute of play. Vicente Eyague showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 40th minute of the match. The supporters of Tigre booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Vicente Eyague tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 54th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Vicente Eyague could save by the left post. After 54 minutes, Cristian Sancho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Tigre players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 54 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. 55 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Nathan de Haan came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tigre made a substitution. Benedicto Aztore replaced Nico Otamendi. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tigre's goalkeeper Vicente Eyague, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Zoritas short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Vicente Eyague to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Julio Gaxan kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, Tigre's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Vicente Eyague reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tigre's Leonel Iratzeder was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
