The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Josef Mlynarczyk was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Josef Mlynarczyk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmundo Espiga went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 27 minutes into the game, Fabian Tino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Canadians R C B's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Honduras the free kick. In the 28th match minute, Canadians R C B was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Tino to maneuver through the defense. Josef Mlynarczyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Villa in the 29th minute of play. Sebastian Villa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Honduras's Christian Sancho managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Tomás Nesor in the 38 minute of the game. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 43 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Villa. Will Slegers kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After the first half Honduras were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmundo Espiga to strike the kick off in the second half. Tomás Nesor made in the 55th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Marcelo Theobald. Honduras's Sebastian Villa quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Tomás Nesor, made in the 58th minute of the game. After 60 played minutes Canadians R C B got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Nesor. In the 62nd minute of the match, Edmundo Espiga got a very nice opportunity to score, but Josef Mlynarczyk was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Marcelo Theobald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Will Slegers kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Canadians R C B's Amir Kartawidjaja was substituted for Tomás Nesor. After 66 played minutes Canadians R C B got a freekick which was hit by Will Slegers. Marcelo Theobald kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Generoso Egoitz in the 77th minute of the match. When Honduras's Edmundo Espiga in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 85th minute, Edmundo Espiga fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Josef Mlynarczyk, passed just outside the right post. Canadians R C B's Angel Berdoi was substituted for Generoso Egoitz. In the 93rd minute, Fabian Tino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Espiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Josef Mlynarczyk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
