The audience thought a goal was coming when Giacomo Casanova got free with Antonio Natal in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Temel Lütufkâr in the 19th minute of play forced La Boys's goalkeeper Johan Lööf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Johan Lööf didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Temel Lütufkâr went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Börge Erserman managed to get in a good position for a shot.
