The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes in the game A.J. Bufi did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Gino Galante. A throw-in in the 15th minute of the game was made by A.J. Bufi with Gino Galante as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 30th match minute, Ares FC -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pete Wray to maneuver through the defense. Ares FC -MM-'s Baal Ares got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 45 played minutes Ares FC -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Karadeniz Otay. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Baal Ares made a kick off. In the 50th minute, Baal Ares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A.J. Bufi made in the 54th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Gino Galante immediately put the ball in play. If Gino Galante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th play minute Baal Ares came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jan-Åke Emander. 1-1. Gino Galante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gino Galante struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Luca Jivulescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Owls. Gino Galante might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luca Jivulescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gino Galante ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice moves Karadeniz Otay could shoot a difficult shot in the 73rd minute, which Jan-Åke Emander however easily saved by the left post. In the 75th minute, Gino Galante ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luca Jivulescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. If Baal Ares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 87 minutes into the match, The Owls's Gino Galante sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luca Jivulescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 89th minute, Baal Ares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ares FC -MM- fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The Owls made a substitution. Ubarna Harroyo replaced Gino Galante.
