If Sven Bållström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mattias Asserlind came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Barrera 2.0's Valério Xavier. But to his dismay, Valério Xavier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Lars-Erik Ivarsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomás Travassos having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Kingpins's Ture Torsberg got a free kick in the 12th minute. Thomás Travassos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars-Erik Ivarsson in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Harry Igelström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thomás Travassos. FC Barrera 2.0's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Harry Igelström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 20th minute, Lars-Erik Ivarsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kingpins fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Mattias Asserlind took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valério Xavier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the game, Kingpins's Lars-Erik Ivarsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thomás Travassos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars-Erik Ivarsson in the 40th minute of play forced FC Barrera 2.0's goalkeeper Thomás Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the game, Harry Igelström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kingpins's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Barrera 2.0 the free kick. Kingpins's Mikael Ekeberg was substituted for Harry Igelström. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valério Xavier made a kick off. A collision led to Kingpins getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Marcus Rönn hit a great ball. Marcus Rönn kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Gabriel Velasco sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Kingpins's Mattias Asserlind didn't even have to move. Through an outstanding action, after 66 minutes, Thomás Travassos successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. FC Barrera 2.0's Betão Paulista was substituted for Osvaldo Vianna. A collision led to Kingpins getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Ralf Olsmann hit a great ball. Kingpins's Mattias Asserlind played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Lara in the 71st minute of play. Kingpins's Ralf Olsmann got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 78 played minutes FC Barrera 2.0 got a freekick which was hit by Gildo Novaes. FC Barrera 2.0's Mazinho Mattos was substituted for Thiago de Castro. A collision led to FC Barrera 2.0 getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Gildo Novaes hit a great ball. In the 90th minute Valério Xavier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Asserlind saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Kingpins supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kingpins would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
