In the 19th minute of the match SAPI FC got a corner. Angua FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jahfal Saroge ran over to the corner to take the kick. After some careless play in the Angua FC defense, Anak Gaul kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leo Rosio. The Angua FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leo Rosio should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, SAPI FC's Nana Sucipto got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 30th minute, Saverio Chaime sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SAPI FC's Abuy Mustaqim didn't even have to move. Ivan Esiquio was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 37th minute. Angua FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Jahfal Saroge's late challenge caught a Angua FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The SAPI FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SAPI FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
