An unexpectedly hard shot by Valério Xavier in the 34th minute of play forced STAL ST WOLA's goalkeeper Roland Burdzel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Virgílio Montenegro sped through STAL ST WOLA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Roland Burdzel. Alex Lara received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Roland Burdzel came out and tried to block the shot, but Alex Lara slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 40th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valério Xavier to make the kick off.
