Perico Segarra hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the game, Jörn Hermansson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Strömsbro IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Salud y República the free kick. The supporters of Salud y República booed when Strömsbro IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jörn Hermansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Salud y República's Alvino Galnares got control of the ball when Ivan Billberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Per-Olof Walroth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adulfo Teresa in the 31st minute of the match. Alvino Galnares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Billberg in the 35th minute of play. A collision led to Salud y República getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Osoro Raya hit a great ball. In the 38th minute of the match Bernt Löfskog sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alvino Galnares skillfully saved the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Agamenón Ruiz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Juvenal Noya was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Per-Olof Walroth made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Adulfo Teresa sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Strömsbro IF defense, Agamenón Ruiz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Per-Olof Walroth. The Strömsbro IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Per-Olof Walroth should have stopped the shot. Salud y República played a much better game than Strömsbro IF and deserved their victory. The Strömsbro IF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
