Jailson Batista took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lundberg. Dante Lundberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After the first half Barcellos Mineiro FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 52 minutes, Cássio Montenegro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barcellos Mineiro FC and the Flodde CFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Barcellos Mineiro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gernando Bueno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orelio Picka in the 92nd minute of play forced Flodde CFC's goalkeeper Dante Lundberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jailson Batista got free with Dante Lundberg in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Barcellos Mineiro FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
