In the 7th minute, Randy Wijoyo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SAPI FC's Abuy Mustaqim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orelio Picka in the 8th minute of play. A collision led to Barcellos Mineiro FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Murilo Mattos hit a great ball. Abuy Mustaqim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jailson Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abuy Mustaqim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orelio Picka in the 20th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Barcellos Mineiro FC's Abuy Mustaqim threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Orelio Picka, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in SAPI FC's zone, Tadeu Guerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abuy Mustaqim came out of the goal and Tadeu Guerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jailson Batista got free with Abuy Mustaqim in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anak Gaul in the 37th minute of play forced Barcellos Mineiro FC's goalkeeper Gil Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jailson Batista to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jailson Batista in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abuy Mustaqim saved SAPI FC from getting behind. With an all-out effort, SAPI FC's Gil Coelho threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Randy Wijoyo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 76 played minutes Barcellos Mineiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Orelio Picka. After a rather tough play, Barcellos Mineiro FC's Orelio Picka got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 86th match minute, SAPI FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jahfal Saroge to maneuver through the defense. Randy Wijoyo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Coelho having to interfere. A collision led to Barcellos Mineiro FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Toninho Couto hit a great ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the SAPI FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
