Mattias Willig kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 4th minute Albert Nyman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Kleen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Di Röe getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Olov Kihlman hit a great ball. Casper Kleen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens-Ove Ekberg in the 14th minute of play. Jens-Ove Ekberg scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Casper Kleen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Ove Ekberg in the 22nd minute of play forced Mean Machine's goalkeeper Casper Kleen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Torsten Berglund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens-Ove Åkesson having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Mean Machine's Torsten Berglund got a free kick in the 28th minute. After having played for 29 minutes, Ragnar Johnsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Di Röe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ragnar Johnsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Di Röe's Jens-Ove Åkesson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Alebäck in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Marc Eklund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A well-hit corner resulted in Jens-Ove Ekberg heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The attack was good, but when Jan Ekenberg in the 47th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ragnar Johnsson to make the kick off. The supporters of Di Röe booed when Mean Machine was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rune Åhman didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Henry Alebäck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mean Machine's Robin Hultstrand was substituted for Stig-Arne Wallin. Jens-Ove Åkesson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry Alebäck in the 60th minute of the match. Henry Alebäck took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jens-Ove Åkesson. Jens-Ove Åkesson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. A collision led to Di Röe getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Ragnar Johnsson hit a great ball. In the 68th match minute, Di Röe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olov Kihlman to maneuver through the defense. Rune Anselius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mean Machine's goalkeeper Casper Kleen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Casper Kleen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ragnar Johnsson in the 82nd minute of the match. Casper Kleen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ragnar Johnsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
