After a rather tough play, Nytäppet Fc's Björn Björk got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 5th minute of the match Albert Nyman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dick Strandberg skillfully saved the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Di Röe's Magnus Tham nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dick Strandberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Nytäppet Fc's Dick Strandberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ragnar Johnsson in the 16th minute of play. Agne Engman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Nytäppet Fc getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Kalle Barck hit a great ball. Dick Strandberg was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Magnus Tham capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Magnus Tham really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 25th match minute, Nytäppet Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Björn Björk to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Nytäppet Fc booed when Di Röe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marc Eklund didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Agne Engman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Di Röe defense, Agne Engman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jens-Ove Åkesson. The Di Röe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jens-Ove Åkesson should have stopped the shot. After having played for 35 minutes, Kalle Barck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nytäppet Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kalle Barck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ivar Pihlberg fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nytäppet Fc's protests and gave Ivar Pihlberg a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Di Röe booed when Nytäppet Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivar Pihlberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olov Kihlman kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Boris Hermansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Magnus Tham during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Magnus Tham hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. 43 minutes into the game, Boris Hermansson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Jens-Ove Åkesson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dick Strandberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ragnar Johnsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kalle Barck to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Di Röe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albin Emander to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute Ragnar Johnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dick Strandberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 60 played minutes Nytäppet Fc got a freekick which was hit by Ragnar Söderström. Jens-Ove Åkesson made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Agne Engman sent off a good shot on target. If Jens-Ove Ekberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Nytäppet Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Ragnar Johnsson came free, but Dick Strandberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
