The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rdth minute of the game Zygmunt Dunajski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but De Ontembare Leeuwen's Heiko Som was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 7 minutes De Ontembare Leeuwen's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Terry Doyle who took care of the corner kick. After 7 minutes of play, FC Steaua Pildesti's Lucian Stere made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Heiko Som was left in no man's land by his defense there! 10 minutes into the match, Nicolae Barbu notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of De Ontembare Leeuwen's Heiko Som. Heiko Som was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nicolae Barbu scored 0-3 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Heiko Som, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Newman in the 18th minute of play forced FC Steaua Pildesti's goalkeeper Marian Văduvescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicolae Barbu took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Heiko Som. Heiko Som dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Filip Paulescu hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Steaua Pildesti's zone, Carlos Gustavo Anatibia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marian Văduvescu came out of the goal and Carlos Gustavo Anatibia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Heiko Som took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolae Barbu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of FC Steaua Pildesti booed when De Ontembare Leeuwen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorn Spannenburg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robert Antohi charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robert Antohi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 31st minute, Robert Antohi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 36 minutes into the game, FC Steaua Pildesti's Zygmunt Dunajski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Heiko Som made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. 39 minutes into the match, De Ontembare Leeuwen's goal looked a bit too open when Zygmunt Dunajski came free, but Heiko Som reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes into the game, Steve Schrage was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. De Ontembare Leeuwen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Steaua Pildesti the free kick. Steve Schrage hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The De Ontembare Leeuwen players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Steaua Pildesti were winning 0-5.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kevin Newman made a kick off. A collision led to FC Steaua Pildesti getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Nae Griguță hit a great ball. Zygmunt Dunajski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heiko Som having to interfere. The supporters of De Ontembare Leeuwen booed when FC Steaua Pildesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zygmunt Dunajski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Steve Schrage kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, De Ontembare Leeuwen's Steve Schrage got a free kick in the 84th minute. FC Steaua Pildesti's Terry Doyle shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 85th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Heiko Som but with some difficulty. Terry Doyle got in the 85th minute the ball and tried a long shot which scored to the left of Heiko Som and thus it was 0-7. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucian Stere in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Heiko Som prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the final whistle sounded FC Steaua Pildesti left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than De Ontembare Leeuwen.
