Staffan Eckegren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Ferraris, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 7th minute Angelo Ferraris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Staffan Eckegren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. G A I S's Staffan Eckegren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Ferraris in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th match minute, Cesate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Carballido to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cléber Marinho got free with Radowit Ptaszek in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 17th minute, Angelo Vettori got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 21stth minute of the game Rafael Zaldua who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cesate's Radowit Ptaszek was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 23 played minutes Cesate got a freekick which was hit by Felice Frezza. A collision led to G A I S getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Norman Mabalane hit a great ball. When Cesate's Angelo Ferraris in 35 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Staffan Eckegren guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Staffan Eckegren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Vettori in the 36th minute of the match. Staffan Eckegren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Vettori, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. G A I S's Cléber Marinho got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Angelo Vettori made a kick off. Cesate's Comunardo Puja was substituted for Felice Frezza. Cesate made a substitution. Kay Stormlund replaced Angelo Ferraris. Angelo Vettori received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Staffan Eckegren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, G A I S's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Vettori came free, but Staffan Eckegren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Florian Carlini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustaw Nienajadlo hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cléber Marinho in the 76th minute of play forced Cesate's goalkeeper Radowit Ptaszek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Staffan Eckegren made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Gustaw Nienajadlo sent off a good shot on target. 80 minutes into the game, Cesate's Kay Stormlund nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Staffan Eckegren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. When Cesate's Angelo Vettori in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Cesate players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
