The supporters of MKS Legion Częstochowa booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmacio Jaume didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Boca Juniors's zone, Rafal Gmoch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Máté Galambos came out of the goal and Rafal Gmoch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Boca Juniors's Máté Galambos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zachary Naskrent in the 44th minute of play. With a little luck, Boca Juniors's Máté Galambos got control of the ball when Czeslaw Kostrzewski tried to sneak it across the goal line.

Wally Velez kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valter Festas in the 79th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Máté Galambos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Boca Juniors's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rafal Gmoch was slow to take the kick. During this time MKS Legion Częstochowa's players had a chance to rest. In the 96th minute, Valter Festas made a precise shot to the right of Máté Galambos. Boca Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. MKS Legion Częstochowa had played much better football throughout.
